DNA Direct is seeking an experienced VP of Product Development and Technology to join our fast-paced and exciting environment. This position will be responsible for setting the product vision and roadmap for our technology-driven clinical products and software, including building business cases, driving all aspects of product launches, and monitoring success. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Unifying and bridging Business Development/Sales, Product Development, Marketing and Clinical.
  • Leading new product development efforts by establishing deep understanding of product functionality in the context of product drivers
  • Representing the company to industry, partners, clients and prospects.
  • Leadership and mentorship of the Product Development team: Engineering, Content, and Program Management.
  • Leadership of the software development lifecycle
  • Overseeing development of partnering strategy with resellers, system integrators, and complementary technology suppliers
  • Responsibility for department P&L.

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of progressive experience in technology-related product development and project management in healthcare industry, including experience with HIPAA and SOX. A solid knowledge of web technologies and Agile development required. You must have a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, preferably in genetics. You must be willing to travel and work with a team of professionals. Excellent communications skills and an accomplished public speaking record required. Previous senior level leadership experience in developing and leading product development efforts, and P&L responsibility for a like-size organization required.

Genetic Counselor

Join a fast paced and exciting environment! DNA Direct is seeking a dynamic self starter to join our team and help bring clinical genetics to a new level.

DNA Direct is the industry leader that provides Guidance and Decision Support for Genomic Medicine to payors, medical centers, labs and consumers.

This position is fulltime, and can be located onsite in San Francisco, or can be a telecommuting position from your current location.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing genetic counseling services by phone and web-enabled decision support tools
  • Creating and updating content for clinical services and products
  • Public speaking for academic, professional, and consumer groups,
  • Participating as needed for business development/marketing strategy

Requirements: BC genetic counselor with a minimum of 5 years experience, an innovative attitude, and the willingness to commit to a team of people on the cutting edge working to make a difference. Experience in both clinical and industry (lab or other company) preferred but not required. Multi-lingual preferred but not required.

Executive Assistant to the CEO

DNA Direct is the leading Web-based provider of genetic testing and counseling services. We are committed to responsibly providing access to a wide array of genetic tests and educational tools.

We have an immediate opening for a seasoned executive assistant to support our Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate will be experienced, enthusiastic, highly organized, and willing to assist the CEO in a variety of ways.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate travel arrangements: air, ground, hotel
  • Create and organize presentation materials for Board of Director’s meetings and other presentations
  • Oversee a detailed Entourage Exchange calendar, schedule meetings, and confirm business appointments
  • Draft correspondence and handle clerical/administrative duties as needed
  • Maintain and organize files and records
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Essential Functions:

  • 3+ years supporting C-level executive
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Superior grasp of the Microsoft Office suite (Mac)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Mac proficiency a big plus
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mentality and a positive attitude
