DNA Direct is seeking an experienced Program Office Director to join our fast-paced and exciting environment. This position will be responsible for delivery of all IT projects and strategic programs. Reporting to the CEO, this position is directly responsible for driving enterprise prioritization of initiatives, managing client engagements, and leading product development teams to deliver projects.
Scope of roles and responsibilities include:
- Act as primary interface for clients during implementation and post-deployment phases
- Ensure product development meets business requirements and specifications and that delivery timelines meet stakeholder expectations
- Establish and lead company development methodology
- Lead development team and content delivery for product development and implementation
- Manage and mitigate risks on projects
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and management team
Expected experience:
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience in a healthcare setting, and have relevant experience interfacing with physicians, health plans and patients and 8-12 years of experience leading technology-based projects and program delivery.
Professional competencies and qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of the payor market and Healthcare IT
- Understanding of and experience with HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations related to technology product development and deployment
- Extensive experience leading product development teams in a matrixed organization
- Strong communications skills to interface with high-level customer representatives
- Ability to publicly represent company with internal and external clients
- Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution
- Strong project planning and management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong transition/change facilitation skills
- Experience leading and implementing a major project or initiative
- College degree required, post-graduate work preferred.
- PMP certified preferred.

Senior Content Manager

DNA Direct is the industry leader that provides Guidance and Decision Support for Genomic Medicine to payors, medical centers, labs and consumers.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies product content needs, including web pages, applications and social media
- Manages the content writing team, including external subject matter reviewers
- Monitors new and existing pages for accuracy and timeliness
- Researches, writes, proofreads and edits content to ensure effectiveness for product in which it is deployed
- Develop policies and procedures related to content to ensure and measure quality and effectiveness
- Develop effective designs and usability strategies around content and applications
- Identify appropriate images, graphics, videos, and other visual/audio needs to support web pages and application content
- Work with marketing and communications on strategies and objectives to ensure consistency of messaging, tone and voice throughout company communications and products
- Work collaboratively with IT, Clinical, Marketing, Business Development on product development and identification of content needs
- Ensure search engine optimization in all content development
- Monitor and analyze web media usage patterns to ensure that web pages and applications are meeting product and company goals
- Oversee all production timelines
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education; degree in life science or healthcare field a plus
- Minimum 5 years experience in managing healthcare related content teams
- Demonstrated experience in research and error-free medical writing for patients and physicians
- Experience editing, and copy editing to deadlines
- Working knowledge of Agile development, web content management and design concepts
- Experience conducting needs assessments, analyzing data, and search engine optimization
Must have experience working with various computer platforms and systems

User Experience Designer

DNA Direct is searching for a User Experience/Design Lead. We are looking for a candidate that lives and dreams design and knows how to leverage the power of good usability and design to build intuitive, and emotionally compelling applications. Requires a thorough knowledge of interaction design principles as well as a close partnership with business stakeholders, development and content teams. Excellent verbal and visual communication skills are a must.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Primary visual designer responsible for all products and online experiences
- Employ user centered Design and Information Architecture best practices and principles to create world-class, brand-leading experiences Participate in early phases of the product development lifecycle to propose innovative solutions on issues that affect any major part of DNA Direct’s user experience
- Articulate design rationale as a means to balance business goals and user needs
- Work closely with a cross-functional teams to assess product requirements, create IA site flows and wireframes, screen designs, and user-interface interaction details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience for various online products
- Organize design details into a complete user interface design comp that will be used as a blueprint for development
- Participate in and facilitate usability and user experience testing, as needed
- Be a visionary for DNA Direct’s user experience and implement vision through visual design
- Keep abreast of current design tools, techniques and methodologies
- Must have hand-on experience employing user centered design methods
- Create all user experience deliverables: site flows, wireframes, comps, and page design templates
Position Requirements:
- At least 5 years of solid industry experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, IA or similar role, designing UI’s for websites and web applications
- Must possess a solid working experience with appropriate design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, PowerPoint, etc.
- Should have experience with international and localization design considerations
- Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams a must
- Experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX
- Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred but not required

Web Front-End Developer
Are you passionate about web development and new enabling front-end technologies with thorough knowledge of Javascript, CSS/XHTML and the DOM? Have you delivered dynamic web experiences integrating with content delivery platforms? Are you excited to learn more about server-side technologies and java development tools?
Have you dealt with the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment, such as small development teams, ambitious deadlines, frequently changing priorities, and a rapidly evolving marketplace?
We're looking for a highly skilled front-end developer who takes ownership of web site functionality and can work with business owners, designers and the development team to implement a high quality web presence. You will have strong experience with standards compliant, semantic xhtml and css, solid knowledge of javascript, DOM-scripting, text-based coding without WYSIWYG tools, and familiarity with front-end frameworks. You'll also be experienced with server-side programming using a server-side scripting language like JSP or Ruby and know how to run queries with MySQL. Additional responsibilities include:
- Supporting front end development for the company Intranet and internal facing sites
- Testing of web sites for cross browser compatibility
- Building specific functionality and modules using a Content Management System
- Optimizing our corporate web site using SEO best practices and usage analysis
- Daily maintenance/updates to existing sites including basic e-commerce functionality

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in front-end development and demonstrated ownership of high quality web sites. The candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task. Must be flexible with a "can do" attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high pressure situations. Healthcare industry experience is a plus. This position is based in San Francisco.
