Our Mission

To bring the power of personalized medicine to patients, providers and payors – reducing health risks, preventing disease and better targeting therapies.

DNA Direct was founded in 2005 to address the growing need for genetic expertise and guidance across the healthcare continuum. It was born out of a deep passion and belief that healthcare providers and patients deserve the most current information available to make more informed decisions to improve outcomes.  DNA Direct was the first genomics-focused company to offer URAC-accredited utilization management programs to help health plans in the appropriate use of genetic tests. In 2010, DNA Direct became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Medco Health Solutions, Inc., one of the country's largest pharmacy benefit managers and one of the most innovative companies in healthcare.

By combining DNA Direct’s programs and services with Medco’s clinical expertise and a growing portfolio of personalized medicine capabilities, we offer patients, providers, payors and employers the most comprehensive suite of personalized medicine services available.
